Istanbul Grill, a restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern and Turkish cuisine has closed at 20 W Broad Street on Bethlehem’s North side.

Reader Matt Deibert sent us the tip and accompanying photo.  The sign has been taken down and the contents of the spot have been emptied out.  Istanbul Grill opened up less than a year ago in December 2011 under the owners of another restaurant of the same name in Stroudsburg.

That new Pho place on MacArthur Rd in Whitehall is next to close, completely disorganized…

So we found out yesterday the Istanbul Grille owners opened up the new “Turkish” place on Main St, Ephesus. It just opened on Friday the 14th.

I have to admit, it bears no resemblence to the Istanbul place. Food was great, the place itself is pretty nice for opening day and the service was not bad (too many employees for the small space though).

I’d give it another try for sure, BYOB!
