Tony Luke’s Open in Allentown

by theelvee_w2oe3m

In the further Philly-fication of downtown Allentown following the opening of the Phantoms hockey arena and Chickie’s & Pete’s, Tony Luke’s, a Philly cheesesteak and sandwich chain,  is now open.  The restaurant, which has franchise locations throughout PA, NJ, DE, CA, MD, FL, and Bahrain (yes, really), is the first in the Lehigh Valley.  They kicked off their opening day yesterday at 806 W Hamilton with a ribbon cutting and a big-ass 6 foot cheesesteak.  In addition to cheesesteaks and their famous Italian roast pork sandwiches, they’ve got grilled veggie sandwiches and burgers for people who don’t like delicious food, as well as fries, wings, and breakfast items.

How much seating is in there? More of a take-out place like the one in Philly?

There’s some seating…I’d say 20-30 tops?
