Seamus Kennedy – performing at 1:30pm at Volksplatz
If you like Celtic music or (sometimes dirty) humor, and really who in Bethlehem doesn’t like at least one of those, Seamus is your mid-day act to see. Always hilarious, Kennedy has been a favorite of ours for years.
Telco – performing at 4pm at the TD Community Stage
This synthy rock group from Michigan ranges from jammy riffs to harder rock paired with soulful singing, creating a great sound you don’t want to miss. We’re actually pretty bummed they’re playing so early since we won’t be able to catch this show.
Cheezy and the Crackers – performing at 5:30pm at Volksplatz
If you like Sublime or Slightly Stoopid you’ll love these guys. With songs about getting paid, smoking weed, and jerking off in public, they infuse their stoner-bro musings into fun into some great reggae rock. Kind of a curious choice for such an early show (and at Volksplatz) but it should be interesting.
Down North – performing at 7pm at Liederplatz
This Seattle rock group eschews the typical grunge roots from their hometown and goes right for the punk. Soul punk, specifically. With the lead singer’s huge voice carrying the tunes, this group is one of our favorites for today.
Cha Wa – performing at 9:30pm at Plaza Tropical
This zany looking band has roots in New Orleans with the “Mardi Gras Indians.” Their bio describes them with “funk with feathers,” and based on videos we’ve seen of them, they’re a band that needs to be seen as well as heard.
Slingshot Dakota – performing at the TD Community Stage at 11pm
One of our favorite Lehigh Valley-based bands, this highly energetic duo is a show you don’t want to miss. Carly Comando’s great vocals and Tom Patterson’s frenetic drumming make for some of the best indie rock around.
