Kat Wright – Bluesy and jazzy, Kat Wright channels her inner Amy Winehouse for soulful, excellent music. It’s the perfect way to shake off the weekend cobwebs from your head and get back into the Musikfest mindset. She performs at Americaplatz at 5pm.
Remember Jones – We caught Jones at the insistence of our friend Jenn at Musikfest back in 2016 and he didn’t disappoint. Armed with a full backing band and a hell of a voice, his set left me wanting to see him on a bigger stage. Lucky for us, he’s playing the biggest Musikfest stage at Americaplatz at 7pm tonight.
North Side
Jocelyn & Chris Arndt – I’ve been really into their song “Shame,” a sultry and catchy rock tune that hooked me right away. They’ve hit the top 40 of the Billboard AAA chart and have opened for Artsquest favorites Delta Rae, as well as the Gin Blossoms and Vertical Horizon. They take the Plaza Tropical stage 5:30pm.
Squirrel Nut Zippers – Probably one of the most unlikely bands to ever hit the Billboard 100, the raucous crew will have horns, energy, and a lot of zany songs that should make for a good show. They play at Volksplatz at 9pm.
