Wegmans to Debut Wine by the Glass

by theelvee_w2oe3m

An astute reader tipped us off to the fact that Wegmans Allentown is debuting a wine by the glass program tomorrow. The wines being served are fairly run of the mill but it’s still great to see innovation.

How can a supermarket do this, you ask? The same way they can sell beer. Techncally that part of the supermarket is a sit-down restaurant so they have a license that allow bars to have 6-pack takeouts.

The wines being served are:
Nob Hill
Smoking Loon
Yellowtail
Castle Rock
Covey Run
Santa Margherita

Tastes will be $2, a half glass $5, and a full glass $10. We’ll have a full report tomorrow. Here’s a few pictures:

Thanks a ton to Tracey Werner (LVGirl) for the photos!
