Weezer to Play in Bethlehem

by theelvee_w2oe3m

The Sands Bethlehem Event Center announced recently that Weezer will be headlining a show at the venue on Saturday, November 23rd.

Now over 20 years old, Weezer launched onto the alt rock scene in the 90’s with their debut, self-titled album which introduced a number of catchy songs into the annals of 90’s music, with many publications declaring it one of the most important rock albums of the decade.  Their two subsequent albums, Pinkerton and The Green Album also spawned hits with “El Scorcho,” “Hash Pipe,” and “Island in the Sun.”  Their last big release, Hurley, was in 2010 performed modestly on the charts, peaking at #6 on the Billboard 200.

The November show, oddly, is the only one currently announced for the band until February 2014, when they embark on their annual cruise.

Tickets for the show are $55 for general admission and go on sale this Friday, October 4th, at 10am.

That is awesome. Poor Dirk. Hate to know what kind of problems he had considering he has to leave town because a band is playing. I wonder if he is the grumpy old dude that used to live in the apartment below me who would bang on the wall every time anything fun happened. Thank goodness he is leaving town. Every party has its pooper and that guy must have went a little bonkers with the prunes.
