Shruty’s Pub Closes Down

Shruty’s Pub, a Wilson borough staple for the past 27 years, has closed down.

Former owner Joe Schratt owned the pub until 2005 when it transferred hands.  Current owner Adam Reed said the pub was forced to unexpectedly shutter its doors after financial difficulties stemming from a split with his business partner.  Reed says the 112 year old building has not been sold and he is currently looking at options to reopen the pub.

Reed doesn’t own the building. His former partner was his wife Amy
