La Overtoner – performing 3pm to 4pm at Main Street
This is the first we’ve heard of this Virginville-based band. They combine violin into their folk rock to produce a Yankee Hotel Foxtrot-era Wilco sound.
The Accidentals – performing 3pm to 4:30pm at Volksplatz
Labeled a breakout act by Billboard at last year’s SXSW, this young trio of musicians have roots in bluegrass but verge more on folk than anything, as evidenced by their shows with Arlo Gurthrie and Joan Baez.
Ginkgoa – performing 9pm to 11pm at Plaza Tropical
Combining sounds of the 1920s with new sounds like synths (think McMash Clan’s Swing Break), this electro-swingesque band is a great way to end out the night with a dancing, jumping beat. Check out their video of an awesome performance of “Don’t Give A Damn” at last year’s Montreux Jazz Fest.

The Brevet – performing 5pm to 6:30pm at Americaplatz
With singer Aric Chase Damm’s voice that sounds almost like Eddie Vedder and soaring rhythms that seems inspired by the likes of Mumford & Sons, these guys seem like a solid pick to watch while hammering down some dinner.
