La Parrilla Sabrosa Opens in Allentown

La Parrilla Sabrosa, a new restaurant at 801 W Union Blvd in Allentown, recently opened.  Formerly a China Garden, the restaurant now offers a mix of Chinese, Italian, and Hispanic cuisine.

And yes, the menu is as ridiculous as that mix sounds.  Appetizers have everything from pierogies to Spanish sausage with fried plantains to pork fritters.  They’ve got tripe soup, cowheel soup, and wonton soup.  Mofongo of many varieties, stewed goat, churrasco, and grilled goose round out the Hispanic offerings.  Italian?  They’ve got a few alfredo dishes, lasagna, and a bevy of other American-Italian staples.  The Chinese menu is literally a China Garden menu with a different cover copied on.

So, yeah.  They’re open from 10am to 10pm Sunday, 10am to 11pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 10am to 4am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  They deliver daily and offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for $6.49 Tuesday-Friday from 11am to 2pm.

You can check out the sprawling, typo-ridden menu here.

Ohhh this place sounds like a train wreck. But, they’re in my ‘hood and they deliver. I’m all over it.
