Art and Food at the Farmhouse

by theelvee_w2oe3m

So what do you need to end out your crappy Monday?  Free food, free drinks, and new art in a beautiful location, of course.  Head on out tonight to The Farmhouse from 6-9pm, the gourmet valley mainstay that’s celebrating it’s 20th year this year.  The Farmhouse recently switched over from award-winning Chef Michael Adams to Chef Javan Small.  Tonight small fare fromMr. Small’s first menu will be sampled before it goes live tomorrow night.  Beer from Southampton, Riverhorse, and Lancaster breweries will all be available for tasting along with wine from Vynecrest.

In a recent interview owner Art Schmidt told The El Vee that during the recent menu revisions they’ve brought down the typical price per plate from $65 to $40, noting that they’re still dedicated to serving quality, locally-sourced gourmet dishes.  He also mentioned that they want to decorate their space with local artists, hence to art opening with Lesta Bertoia tonight.  It sounds like it’ll be a great (free!) time.  The El Vee, of course, will be there camera-in-hand.
