Artsquest announced this week that bearded rockers ZZ Top will be opening the main stage at Musikfest on August 1st.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will kick-off this year’s 31st Musikfest with their signature brand of blues-laden dance rock. The band has released fifteen studio albums, with their 1985 album Afterburner claiming their highest chart position at #4. The album eventually went 5x platinum. Their last LP was released in 2012, titled La Futura, and was produced by music industry legend Ruck Rubin.
Tickets range from $44 to $54 and go on sale Friday, March 21st at 10am.

So bummed to read that this was cancelled. I was really looking forward to kicking off Muskfest with some good ol’ fashioned kick-ass rock’n’roll!!!
