Tonight’s Brew Events

by theelvee_w2oe3m

There’s quite a bit going on in the valley tonight and it’s a good night to be a craft beer drinker.

The Keystone Pub in Bethlehem will be hosting a mini Bell’s tap takeover tonight.  On tap will be their Porter, Sparkling Ale, and the ever-coveted Hopslam.

At the Tavern on Liberty in Allentown they’re hosting a Sixpoint tap takeover from 7pm to 11pm featuring the following five beers in a $10 flight:

Brownstone – The most distinguishing characteristic of Brownstone is its aroma of fresh-baked bread, which is accomplished by using generous portions of classic Belgian specialty malt. The deep caramel and malt flavors are balanced by notes of rich toffee, chocolate, a slight nuttiness and a roasted tang. It is a true session ale.

Spice of Life Nelson Sauvin – Every month Sixpoint releases a new Spice of Life IPA which features a single hop throughout the brewing process. The IPA recipe is identical each month, the focus being on each diverse hop. Nelson Sauvin showcases notes of tangy fruit, white wine, and general brightness throughout while considered moderately bitter.

Bengali Tiger –  reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks

Righteous Ale – A high amount of flavor happening here: a complex, but well balanced palate of rye spice, hop bitterness and malty sweetness

90211 Porter – This is a complex, toasty, yet very drinkable porter.  The nose is mild with tones of coffee and hints of warming malt. The taste has touches of bitter chocolate, a little dried fruit, and just the right amount of bitterness to make you beg for another sip.

Jeff Gorlichen, the co-owner and Director of Promotions for Sixpoint, will be there discussing their beers and giving away some Sixpoint swag.

Abe’s in Bethlehem will be hosting a free beer tasting from 4pm to 6pm with Belukus Marketing featuring Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, Timmerman’s Strawberry, and Well’s Banana Bread Beer.

From 7pm to 10pm Porter’s Pub in Easton will be hosting an imported craft beer night, also with Belukus.  They’ll be featuring Blanche de Bruxelles, Well’s Bombardier, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, Timmermans Strawberry, and Well’s Banana Bread Beer.
