Well the first weekend is over and most of the festers returned to their normal lives today. If you’re a hardcore fester like us, or happen to have the day off, here’s a few suggestions for what to check out this evening. We’re light on picks today as this seems like one of those days where there just isn’t a whole lot that interest us. It might be a good day to go eat your way around Musikfest and check out the various stands and crafts.
The Stereofidelics – performing from 4pm to 5pm at the TD Band Community Stage at Air Products Town Square
This Ashville, NC duo combines indie tones and fast-paced funk to provide a bit of a jolt to your early evening Festing hours. They’re certainly no strangers to the valley, as they’ve played multiple shows in Bethlehem and hit up Black & Blue in Easton last year.
Trouble City Allstars – performing from 11pm to 12pm at the TD Band Community Stage at Air Products Town Square
Ska, reggae, and rock. These guys are local, so if you miss them due to their late start time they play all over the place, all the time. Hopefully the crowd is livelier than the dead looking bunch that were at their late set last year.
Amish Outlaws – performing from 7pm to 8:30pm at Volksplatz
Breakdancing. Kanye covers. Amish dudes (beards, hats, suspenders, and all). Possibly the most ridiculous over-the-top act Musikfest has booked since Here Come The Mummies and they’re from down the road in Lancaster. This should be interesting.
The Red Elvises – performing from 9pm to 11pm at Volksplatz
If you’re not completely Elvis’d out from the weekend shows, these guys are playing one last show at this year’s Musikfest. Volkspatz is where they thrive and where the real party is, so get out there and get Russian one last time.
