Musikfest Picks for Day 3, August 3rd

Bold As Love – performing from 4pm to 5:30pm at Plaza Tropical
We don’t usually choose cover bands for our Musikfest picks, but a Jimi Hendrix cover band is just too good to pass up. 


Mucca Pazza – performing from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at Volksplatz
This is the band you’ll not want to miss at Musikfest this year.  Think March Fourth Marching Band without all of the theatrics and a bit geekier and nerdier.  The 20-person marching band and an array of hipster cheerleaders performed yesterday and lead a parade around the festival grounds.  Check them out for their last fest performance tonight.

***Unfortunately this band has cancelled*** Decent Lovers – performing from 8pm to 8:40pm at Lyrikplatz
This synth-driven indie pop duo has sound reminiscent of The Postal Service and a big enough sound to fill the small room they’re playing in.

Mo Lowda and the Humble – peforming from 11pm to 12am at the TD Community Stage
This great alt-rock group was formed in a bar at Temple University and has gone on to be featured on WMMR’s Preston and Steve and is now playing venues throughout the Philly region.  It’s a late show but will be worth staying out late for.
