Indie Canadian singer-songwriter Lights Poxleitner will be playing Planet Trog in Whitehall on April 21st.

Lights has been featured in an Old Navy commercial and was named New Artist of the Year at the 2009 Juno Awards.  Lights has released two full-length albums: The Listening in 2009 and Siberia in 2011 as well as a fantastic acoustic EP in 2010.

With a growing line-up of artists scheduled to play, Planet Trog has been offering bigger and bigger acts since reestablishing themselves as a music venue last year.  Hopefully we’ll keep seeing other great, small, and upcoming acts announced at this venue.

wow! a friend of mine loves her music although he’ll be away on tour when she’s coming through. I haven’t been to a show at planet trog yet (and i have been to most every venue in the area) and i know some people have doubts about it becoming an established, good venue but it seems they are on the right track for that– bringing in acts who are on the rise, and bigger names in the indie and pop punk scenes. although i don’t think they promote very well (at least not yet).
