On May 3rd Kathleen Edwards will be playing at the café. After releasing three critically acclaimed albums from 2003 to 2008 she hooked up romantically and musically with Grammy award-winning Justin Vernon, of Bon Iver, to produce her newly-released album Voyageur. The Bang Group, a rhythm-based theatrical dance company headed by David Parker will be at the venue on June 15th. Classic Album Live, a cover band who specializes in playing albums precisely as you hear them on the originals, will be taking on the classic L.A. Woman from The Doors. Tickets are $32 for cabaret seats and $42 for balcony seats.
Artsquest will also be switching up their cabaret seating, following feedback received from previous audiences. The new seating will go in effect on June 15th with The Bang Group’s show. The June 22nd Sonny Landreth show will also still have the old seating arrangement. The reason for the change? Artsquest’s Curt Mosel states, “Through reconfiguring the room layout and turning some of the dining tables on a 45-degree angle, we’ve made sure that none of the chairs at our tables will be facing away from the stage, resulting in a better viewing experience for our audience members.” You can view the new seating chart here.
