Harvest Festival 2010

If you’ve got nothing going on this weekend the obvious place to be is downtown Bethlehem.  Harvest Festival is going on, and for $20 in advance or $25 the day of you can get unlimited beer and wine samples.  A few breweries (Spaten, Magic Hat, etc.) will be present, but the real stars of the show here are the Lehigh Valley Home Brewers.  Event after event, Harvest Festival being one of their main ones (meaning they’ll have loads of beer), they put out some seriously top notch brew.  Be on the lookout for Double Bouron Vanilla Porter, Black Pepper Porter, American Porter, and PB&J beer.  I’ve had these at various events and they’re all ace, so hope they bring them.

This year they’ll be doing soup and pie contests again this year with participants able to purchase both.  I’ll be one of the judges so I’ll have full details on the culinary side of things.  This year there’s also going to be a Coke-Pong Tourney, which is pretty badass.  The usual is going on as well…grape stomping, fresh produce, etc.  Anyways, stop on by because it was a great time last year and a good start to the fall season.
