Hijinx Brewing Company, a new nanobrewery out of Whitehall, has received its federal and state approvals recently and began brewing their first batch. Curt Keck, the owner and brewmaster, has professional brewing history with the defunct Old Lehigh Brewing Company and was also a brewer at Easton’s Weyerbacher brewery. The brewery used a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for their initial capital, raising nearly $15,000. Keck said he will be releasing beers soon as well as gearing up for a fall release of higher end brews including a bourbon barred-aged imperial stout, an imperial java porter, a 12º Belgian, and a wheat wine.
