We first reported on the Bethlehem Food Co-Op late last year, summing up the first meeting where the public was introduced to the idea of a co-op in downtown Bethlehem. The second meeting for the co-op will take place on Thursday, January 19th at the Sand Island Ice House.

The road towards having a new restaurant at the Sun Inn has been one filled with vitriol, drama, and long Bethlehem City Council meetings. Hopefully that road is coming to an end shortly.

The 2012 iteration of Artsquest’s annual Souper Bowl event is set to take place on January 28th.

The annual Chocolate Lover’s Soiree is coming to Easton on Satruday, January 28th from 7-10pm. The event, which we covered two years ago, features local and national chocolatiers, bakeries, coffee shops, and breweries showcasing chocolate and chocolate-flavored items.

Don Juan Mex Grill, an Easton burritojoint that opened up in September, is already looking to add locations.

As we mentioned in our last article on H2O Kitchen, Chef Jason Hook will be holding a few tastings at the Jamison Publick House to experiment and introduce diners to concepts he will be unveiling when H2O Kitchen opens in the first quarter of 2012. We have the menus for the first concept dinners which will include a scotch dinner, a beer pairing, and a vegetarian dinner.

We brought you the news of the West End Gastro Club forming last month. They just announced their first pop-up dinner at the West End Youth Center on January 20th at 6:30pm.

Istanbul Grill, run by the the same group that was responsible for the Istanbul Grill in Stroudsburg, have opened up their shop at 2o W Broad Street in Bethlehem.
