    Wine Dinner at the Glasbern Inn

    The Glasbern Inn is hosting another ridiculous wine dinner on April 21st.  The crown jewel of the seven-course affair is the 1986 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a French first growth that garnered a perfect rating from Wine Advocate.  And for dessert?  A 1991 Vintage Port.  The dinner is $135 per person and reservations are required.

     

    Corned Beef Tongue
    rye crisp, sweet + sour fennel, “puffed” cheese
    Paired with 2010 Pinnacle Ridge, Pinot Noir, Lehigh Valley, PA

    House Cured King Salmon
    yuzu cure, endive, beetroot, coriander + verjus
    Paired with 2009 Finca el Origen, Torrontes, Argentina

    Glasbern Pork Breast
    octopus, marcona almonds, house chorizo variations
    Paired with 1978 Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey, Grand Cru De Sauternes, France

    Garden Mizuna
    pickled ramps, goats milk, porcini mushroom
    Paired with 2006 Simonnet-Febvre Premier Cru Chablis Vaillons, France

    Halibut Confit
    toasted cashew, savoy cabbage, hibiscus + buerre orange
    Paired with 2008 Louis Latour, Puligny-Montrachet, France

    Glasbern Lamb
    sunchoke + heirloom carrot, buttermilk + blueberry
    Paired with 1986 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France
