    Bethlehem Concert Update

    by theelvee_w2oe3m March 23, 2012

A slew of new concerts have been announced for Bethlehem.

Daughtry has been confirmed for Musikfest, in an expected move after the artist’s email list indicated he’d be playing the festival.  The announcement followed Daughtry’s show in Reading.  The band first broke out following frontman Chris Daughtry’s  stint as a finalist on American Idol in 2006.  All of their albums have charted, with their debut and sophomore albums reaching #1 on the Billboard charts.  Their self-titled debut went 4x platinum and their follow-up, Leave This Town, went platinum.  Their latest album is certified gold and was released last November.  Daughtry takes the stage on Saturday, August 11th and the tickets ($34, $49) go on sale March 30th.

The Sands Event Center announced a few new shows.

Melissa Etheridge will be playing the center on May 26th.  Etheridge’s sprawling career, dating back to 1986 with background vocals on a Don Henley record, has won her two Grammy awards and a numerous nominations as recent as 2007.  Tickets for the show run from $49.50 to $99.50.

Michael Bolton will be singing at the venue on June 6th.  Bolton’s career is extensive, with his 1991 album Time, Love & Tenderness reaching 8x platinum.  He has released 35 singles throughout his career.  Tickets for the show are $45-$65.

Hall of Fame inductees Crosby, Stills, and Nash will be playing on June 24th.  The classic rockers, long a staple of the Woodstock generation of listeners, will be touring the USA as part of a larger world tour.  Tickets for the show range from $66 to $100.50.

Rounding out the latest group of announcements, the event center announced that Diana Krall will be performing on July 8th.  The three-time Grammy award winning jazz artist has sold over 15 million albums worldwide.  Tickets are $65 and $89.50.

All Sands shows are on sale now.

The Musikfest Café announced today that Collective Soul will play in the Musikfest Café on July 1st.  Their big hit, Shine, came out in 1993.  The stop in Bethlehem will be on their Dosage tour, where they’ll play their 1999 platinum album in it’s entirety.  Tickets will be $39 and $49.  They go on sale to the public March 30th.
