We’ve learned that allegedly Rodizio Grill, a chain restaurant specializing in Brazilian steakhouses, will be opening at 2805 Lehigh Street in the old Bob Evans location.
The Lehigh Valley already has two Brazilian Steakhouses, Rio’s in Nazareth and Made in Brazil in Allentown. Brazilian steakhouses, or churrascarias typically feature a pay-one-price option where a passador, or meat server, will round with various cuts and preparations of meat and vegetables to tables. Diners are frequently given cards with one side red and the other green. When a server sees the green side of the card they know to come around to that diner. If the diner has the red side of the card up they know that the diner is either taking a break or finished with dinner.
The Lehigh Street Rodizio Grill is in the first stages of inception. The building still dons an “available” sign. It will be owned and run by Kevin O’Leary and Charlie La Rosa, who also own the Melting Pot in Bethlehem.
