NEARfest, a progressive rock festival held at the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University has long been a mecca for fans of the music. This year is the festival’s last iteration, as last year’s was cancelled due to low ticket sales. The group in charge of the festival decided not to feature any legacy, older bands in the lineup and resulted in poor sales.
The organizers decided to give the festival one last go, and are hosting Nearfest Apocalypse June 22nd-24th. The event sold out in an hour. So what does every music festival need? Beer, of course. It appears the Brew Works is hooking up the festival with their own themed beer, Nearfest Hopocalypse In 9/8. The beer is a double IPA and clocks in at 9.8% alcohol.
