The SouthSide Film Festival kicks off tonight with a free party at Home and Planet on 3rd Street in Bethlehem starting at 6. There will be free beer from Sam Adams and lots of delicious food from Alando’s with music from DJ Telly. The crew will then proceed in parade-form up to Broughal Middle School with the help of the City of Bethlehem Bagpipe Band. Meeting us at the opening film will be the Lehigh Valley Drum Circle and the first films, Tord & Tord and Africa United, will be showing at 8pm. Tix for the opening night movies are $10 and go towards the SSFI to put on films throughout the year and next year’s festival. Come along for the free food and party and the good filmage. We’ll be posting a list of our top picks and must-sees for the SouthSide Film Festival tomorrow morning. Hope to see you tonight and stop back tomorrow!
