If you were worried that the Musikfest headlining acts were looking either a little too geriatric or too country for your tastes this year, there’s good news.  Father John Misty, an indie sensation who recently topped Billboard’s rock, Americana/folk, and alternative charts with his new album Pure Comedy, will be playing the festival on August 6th.

Father John Misty, a pseudonym for musician Josh Tillman, received widespread accolades for his second album, I Love You, Honeybear.  Tillman performed singles off of his newest album on SNL in March, and Pure Comedy hit the shelves on April 7th.  He was also one of the top billings at this year’s Coachella and is touring extensively this year.

Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 5th at 10am and run $34-$44.  Indie rockers San Fermin will open the show.
