The Brewers of Pennsylvania, a coalition of breweries working to change and clarify Pennsylvania alcohol legislation, are hosting the “Meeting of the Malts,” a beer summit with Dick Yuengling, owner of Yuengling Brewery, Jim Koch, owner of Samuel Adams, and Sam Calagione, owner of Dogfish Head. These three behemoths of the beer industry will be on-hand all evening to meet with beer lovers starting with a pre-summit party at the Steelgaarten at Bethlehem Brew Works. The pre-summit party from 5pm to 6:30pm will include light appetizers and Dogfish Head beers and is $35 to attend.
The main event, the brewer’s summit, will include a panel discussion with Dick Yuengling, Jim Koch, and Sam Calagione on the future of American Beer, which will be moderated by David “Bump” Williams, an expert on data and trends analysis in the beverage industry. A five-course dinner paired with Dogfish Head, Yuengling, and Sam Adams beers will be served during the summit, which runs from 7pm to 9pm at Hotel Bethlehem. Tickets for the dinner are $75.
After the dinner and panel discussion it’s back to Bethlehem Brew Works for a post-summit party from 9:30pm to 11pm, which will feature light appetizers and Sam Adams beers. Tickets to the post party are $35.
Or, if you want to do it all, the event is offering a VIP ticket that will get you into all three events for $125. Tickets can be purchased here.
