Wine lovers rejoice – Artsquest has a whole bunch of new programming and it all revolves around fermented grapes. Lehigh Valley-based wine importers, South Italy Imports, will be hosting “Wine Wednesdays” at Artsquest’s Steelstacks campus. South Italy showcases a diverse wine selection from a wide-range of Italian winemaking regions. Their current portfolio include 80 different wines from 12 different vineyards. Paint and Wine Party – January 28th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm – $45
Sip on a glass of wine from the reserves of South Italy Imports as artist Jacqueline Cornette of Dionysus Art Studio guides you through the process of unleashing your inner Van Gogh. At the end of the evening, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind masterpiece and a newfound talent. Paint, canvas and brushes are provided and no experience is necessary. South Italy Imports will also be on hand to discuss the various wines and grape growing regions of Italy. Price is $45 and includes one complimentary glass of wine; additional South Italy Imports wines are available for purchase.
Wine Wednesday Tasting Session – Wines of Northern Italy – February 11th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm – $54
Sample 12 different wines from the reserves of South Italy Imports including Angelucci Pecorino, the company’s No. 1 selling white wine from the Angelucci family vineyards. From the Colli Orientali del Friuli region of Northern Italy, to the Island of Sicily, attendees will embark on a tour of Italia through the many wonderful and fragrant varietals that originate from this historic and beautiful country located along the Mediterranean Sea. South Italy Imports staff will be on hand to discuss the characteristics of each wine being served, as well as the unique attributes of the regions of Italy from which they come.
Wire and Wine Party – Make Your Own Earrings – February 25th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm – $50
Uncork your creativity during this perfect pairing of wire and wine presented by South Italy Imports and jeweler Allison Mackenzie. You’ll enjoy a glass of wine from South Italy Imports’ reserves while Mackenzie guides you through the process of making your own earrings. Loops, twists and simple wraps will be explored. At the end of the evening, you’ll leave with your very own piece of handcrafted jewelry. South Italy Imports will also be on hand to discuss the various wines and grape growing regions of Italy. Price is $50 and includes one complimentary glass of wine; additional South Italy Imports wines are available for purchase.
