So just about everyone and their brother have been writing about the new wine bar that’s going to be installed into the former Morning Call building at 515 Main Street in Bethlehem.

Even though the whole event is centered around music, Musikfest is just as equally all about eating and drinking. As such, we endeavored to do a lot of both during this year’s festival.

The Sands Bethlehem Event Center announced today that country musician Jamey Johnson will be hitting the venue on Friday, October 12th.

And so the last weekend of Musikfest was upon us. Even the rain couldn’t hamper the good times that were had.

The Farmhouse restaurant in Emmaus will be hosting their quarterly vernissage to preview their new seasonal menu on September 24th from 6pm to 9pm.

So we survived the first weekend of Musikfest, but there was much more fun to be had, including the best show at Fest this year by far.

Cartel, a pop rock band from Georgia, will be stopping by Allentown inbetween shows on their fall tour with The Early November.

Finally the hangovers have been cured, the food has digested, and the ringing in our ears from being too close to the speakers has quieted. Yes, it’s time for the annual Musikfest wrap-up. This year we’re dividing it into five parts (first weekend music reviews, midweek music reviews, closing weekend music reviews, food reviews, and closing thoughts) because there’s just too much to write about and too many photos to share. And so we begin with the first three nights of the festival…

Molinari’s in Bethlehem is hosting their first ever wine dinner next Wednesday, August 29th.
